Urology

The department of urology specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of the urinary tract disorders (in men, women and children) and disorders of the male genital organs.

What can we help you with?

The urologist treats problems of the urinary tract and/or the male genitalia. You can visit the urologist for abnormalities, malignant disorders and problems with the kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra, prostate, genitals, ... . Inflammations of the kidney, prostate, bladder, testes and epididymides are also treated by the urologist.

Frequent disorders

  • Stones at the level of the kidneys, ureter and bladder
  • Benign enlargement of the prostate
  • Problems with urine leakage (incontinence)
  • Cancerous tumors at the level of the prostate, or other organs

Our urology department is part of the Urology Clinic, an association (collaboration) between 12 urologists across several hospitals, each with a particular subspecialty within urology. The advantage of working together in this larger group, is that the urologists can each further subspecialize and refer to each other.
